The Investing Potential of the Next Decade

next-decade-banner-1050x100px

Is the 40+ years of disinflation, falling interest rates, and rising valuation multiples that many investors experienced coming to an end?

We believe the golden era of investing is being replaced with a set of secular trends—high debt levels, demographics, artificial intelligence, de‑globalization, populism, and climate change—that we expect to each have unique economic impacts but collectively put upward pressure on interest rates and inflation over the next decade.

Get resources for you and your clients here, including a whitepaper that takes a closer look at the next decade of investing and a presentation that you can use with your clients – plus, for qualified advisors, you can request an in-person presentation with a Manning & Napier Advisor Consultant.

Whitepaper

Unveiling Opportunities

One of the most basic principles of investing is higher risk should demand a higher reward. With that in mind, we’ve assessed the fixed income landscape and are sharing our thoughts on how we’re managing portfolios that are well‑positioned to meet investor objectives for the next decade and beyond given the state of interest rates and inflation.

Inside you'll find:

  • Key thematic views from our Fixed Income Group
  • Our take on several secular trends and their impacts
  • An analysis on stocks vs. bonds in today’s world

Investing in Fixed Income for the Next Decade

next-decade-presentation-mockup-1200x300

This presentation explores the cyclical and secular forces that we believe are most likely to impact the rates markets over the coming decade.

Expanding on the whitepaper, in this presentation we cover how bonds are emerging from their most difficult performance period in the past 40+ years. We walk through various cyclical factors and current market valuations that have now made bonds more attractive relative to stocks. We also explore how secular forces are likely to keep inflation higher, which will result in elevated rates and increased volatility.

Ultimately, we believe fixed income is poised to offer more competitive returns to investors going forward but success will require a more dynamic approach than in the past given these cyclical and secular trends.

Certain qualified Advisors and Financial Professionals can also request a Manning & Napier Advisor Consultant to deliver this presentation at group meetings or larger discussions.

The presentation is approved for 1 hour of CFP, CIMA®, CPWA®, CIMC®, and RMA® CE credit.
